
Arizona Rattlers' Sidewinders to Hold Finals Saturday

MESA, Ariz. - The Arizona Rattlers have announced that the Sidewinders audition finals for the 2011 squad will be held at Casino Arizona on Saturday, January 29. The finals will take place from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Showstoppers Live Theater in Casino Arizona and will be open to the public.
All season-ticket holders, fans, media and friends are encouraged to attend and show their support for the girls. Approximately 18 of the best dancers will be selected to join the 2011 Sidewinders. Featured events include dance auditions and a bikini walk.
The first round of auditions, which was closed to the public, was held on Saturday, January 22. A series of interviews, conducted following the audition, were focused on the dancers' professionalism, maturity, positive attitude and the ability to represent the Arizona Rattlers in a professional manner at all times.
The Arizona Rattlers Sidewinders are the official dance team of the Arizona Rattlers and one of the longest running dance teams in the Arena Football League. They will perform 20 times throughout the Rattlers' nine-game home schedule this season.
"The Sidewinders are a talented group of beautiful women that make the Rattlers games even more exciting!" said SIDEWINDERS DANCERS CO-COORDINATOR ANGIE BAKER. "They come from various college and professional dance backgrounds with a common passion for performing and they're proud to be a part of an amazing organization."
Casino Arizona is located off of the 101 Freeway. Exit at McKellips, turn right (east) then take a left at 92nd Street.
