Barnstormers Add Center Alex Linnenkohl to Roster

DES MOINES - Iowa Barnstormers Head Coach and Director of Football Operations Mike Hohensee announced Tuesday afternoon that the AFL franchise has been assigned center Alex Linnenkohl for the 2012 season. He becomes the 32nd player invited to the Barnstormers 2012 training camp that begins this weekend.
Linnenkohl (6-1, 305) joins the Barnstormers after participating in the 2011 Chicago Bears training camp. Prior to that he spent 4 seasons at Oregon State, quietly developing into one of the top centers in the country. Over his final two seasons at OSU, he made 26 consecutive starts, and was named a co-team captain as a senior in 2010. The Olympia, Washington native starred in at Capital high school, where he was named the 14th best center in the country by Rivals.com.
The Barnstormers 2012 season is rapidly approaching. Training camp is set to begin on February 19th at William Penn University in Oskaloosa, with the home opener set for March 17th vs. the Utah Blaze. 2012 Iowa Barnstormers season tickets remain on sale for as low as $117.00 per seat.
