DURHAM, NC - The Durham Bulls continue the final full month of the 2015 regular season with a short two-game home series against the Norfolk Tides beginning Wednesday, August 12. The abbreviated homestand will feature the immensely popular Bark in the Park and the annual Merge Records Night. After this series, only fourteen home games remain at Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
Man's best friend gets run of the DBAP on Wednesday, August 12 during the final Bark in the Park event of the season, presented by VCA Animal Hospital. Tickets for the special pet section of the Outfield Reserved are $6.99 (plus tax) for humans and $5.00 (plus tax) for canines. There is also a 2-hour all-you-can-eat buffet option available for $25. All proceeds of each Bark in the Park canine ticket go to benefit Second Chance Pet Adoptions. The first 1,000 four-legged Bulls fans at the 7:05 p.m. game will receive a pet bandana courtesy of VCA Animal Hospital.
AARP presents the finale of the two-game series with Norfolk on Thursday, August 13. The 7:05 p.m. game features $1 concessions, as Bright Leaf hot dogs, soda, and popcorn are just a buck. Thursday is also the third annual Merge Records Night, as two revered Bull City icons partner for a celebration of music and baseball. Durham-based independent label Merge Records will curate Bulls' player at-bat music and Stuart McLamb, front man of Merge band The Love Language, will perform the National Anthem prior to the game against the top affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles.
New for 2015, fans purchasing an $8.99 Terrace View ticket for Merge Records Night get a limited edition sampler CD of this season's featured at-bat songs. The ticket/CD combo is available here using the code MERGE. The CD's artwork, a collaborative project between the team and label's design departments, features the DBAP's famous Snorting Bull.
The Durham Bulls return to the DBAP for a short two-game homestand against the Norfolk Tides on Wednesday, August 12. Tickets for this series, and all of the remaining sixteen home games of the 2015 regular season, are available at durhambulls.com, the DBAP box office, or by calling 919.956.BULL.
