OHL Ottawa 67's

Barber Poles Look to Enter Holidays with Win over Colts

December 18, 2021 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Ottawa 67's News Release

For just the second time this season, the Ottawa 67's will take on the Barrie Colts, this time from The Arena at TD Place. Puck drop is set for 2:00pm EST, and fans can catch all the action on Rogers TV. Kenny Walls has the radio call on TSN 1200.

Ottawa fell to the Oshawa Generals in a hard-fought game, last night, dropping a 4-2 decision. Alec Belanger scored 29 seconds in, and Thomas Johnston potted his seventh of the year in the second period, but a late-empty netter allowed Oshawa to double up the Barber Poles.

The Colts have been off since Sunday, where they earned a 1-0 victory over the Battalion in North Bay. Evan Vierling scored the lone goal, shorthanded, at the 12:30 mark of the third period, while Mack Guzda earned a 26-save shutout.

These two teams faced off on October 23, live on CBC. Vsevolod Gaidamak, Jack Beck, and Cam Tolnai all found the back of the net, and Will Cranley turned aside all 28 shots he faced, as the 67's cruised to a 3-0 win.
