Bandits Announce IFL 2009 Schedule and Division Alignment

Sioux City - The Sioux City Bandits of the Indoor Football League are proud to announce our 2009 schedule. Also, today the IFL has announced the league conferences and division alignments. The league has been organized into 2 conferences and a total of 4 divisions, with the conference names commemorating the two leagues that merged to create the new IFL. There will be 19 teams in the IFL for the 2009 season. The Intense Football League (IFL) and the United Indoor Football (UIF) merged in September of 2008 to form the Indoor Football League.

The Intense Conference will consist of the Pacific Division: Alaska (Anchorage) Wild, Billings Outlaws, Colorado Ice, and Fairbanks Grizzlies. In 2010, the Everett (Washington) Destroyers will join this division. The Lone Star Division will consist of Abilene RuffRiders, Corpus Christi Hammerheads, El Paso Generals, Odessa Roughnecks, and San Angelo Stampede Express. The Frisco Thunder will join in 2010.

The United Conference will consist of the Central Division: Bloomington Extreme, Omaha Beef, Sioux Falls Storm, Sioux City Bandits, and Wichita Wild. The Atlantic Division will include the Maryland Maniacs, Muskegon (MI) Thunder, Saginaw (MI) Sting, RiverCity Rage, and Rochester (NY) Raiders.
