Baltimore Blast: 3-1. Second place in the Eastern Division. Utica City FC: 4-1 Eastern Division Leaders. Baltimore Players to Watch: The Blast are looking to claim first place in the Eastern Division with a win against division leaders Utica City. Midfielders Tony Donatelli and Jonatas Melo currently lead all Blast players in points scored with seven. Forward Andrew Hoxie will spearhead the Blast attack, as he leads the team in goals scored with four. Forward Juan Pereira will look to build off of his two-goal performance last time out against Orlando.
Defender Adriano Dos Santos is off to a hot start, scoring three goals, which is tied for 2nd on the team. Two Time Team of the Week selection William Vanzela ranks 3rd among all MASL goalkeepers in goals allowed average (3.53), save percentage (.774) and will look to stifle the Utica City attack.
The Blast will be without Lucas Roque and Daniel Peruzzi as they recover from their knee injuries. The Blast are coached by Head Coach Danny Kelly and Assistant Coach David Bascome. The Competition - Utica City FC Utica City FC are looking to separate themselves from the rest of the Eastern Division with a win against the Blast. The Utica City offense is led by forward Joey Tavernese who ranks 3rd in the MASL in points scored (12) and 2nd in the MASL in assists (6).
Forward Slavisa Ubiparipovic will also look to continue his great start to the season, as he ranks 4th in the MASL in points scored (11) and 3rd in the MASL in assists (5).
Defensive partners Bo Jelovac and Ben Ramin will provide points from the defense as they have each recorded eight points and five points respectively in five games. Midfielders Nate Bordeau and Lucio Gonzaga have combined for twelve points this season.
Utica City FC is coached by Head Coach Ryan Hall.
