"I thought we did an excellent job tonight of sharing the basketball," 66ers head coach Dale Osbourne said. "This week in practice we emphasized ball movement and making plays for teammates, and I think we did a great job of that."
Defensively, the 66ers held the Legends to 30-of-74 (.405) shooting from the floor and forced 19 turnovers. Leading Tulsa in steals was Owens and Lewis with three and two, respectively.
"Defense will continue to be our focus every day," Osbourne said. "We know that defense and effort win basketball games, and tonight was a great example of that."
Leading the Legends was guard Drew Neitzel with 14 points and five assists. Reserve Ramon Dyer added 13 points and a team-high nine rebounds.
The 66ers will continue their three-game home stand with a contest this Saturday, Jan. 7, against the Maine Red Claws at 7 p.m. CT inside the Tulsa Convention Center.
