
Los Angeles' Brandon Costner Named NBA Development League Player of the Month

NEW YORK, Jan. 5, 2012 - Los Angeles D-Fenders forward Brandon Costner has been named NBA Development League Player of the Month for games played in Nov. and Dec. The honor, the first of the 2011-12 season, is also the first of Costner's NBA D-League career.
Costner (6-9, 235, North Carolina State), led Los Angeles to a 10-6 record during Nov. and Dec., averaging 25.7 points on 47-percent shooting to go with 6.1 rebounds and 2.2 assists. He scored a season-high 42 points in a 90-97 loss to the Idaho Stampede on Dec. 10, and four-times notched 30-plus point games. For his efforts, he was named NBA D-League Performer of the week on Dec. 12.
Fifteen additional players earned honorable mention accolades, they include: Austin's Justin Dentmon, Bakersfield's Renaldo Major, Canton's Tyrell Biggs, Dakota's Maurice Baker, Erie's Kyle Goldcamp, Fort Wayne's Ron Howard, Idaho's Seth Tarver, Iowa's Moses Ehambe, Maine's Courtney Pigram, Rio Grande Valley's Tyren Johnson, Reno's Blake Ahearn, Springfield's Lance Hurdle, Sioux Falls' Charles Garcia, Texas' Chris Roberts and Tulsa's Marcus Lewis.
