ROSTER UPDATE:
The Condors activated LW Bobby Bolt from the 3-IR on Tuesday. He skated in just 11 games during the regular season, last playing on Nov. 15. RW Jason Bailey was placed on 3-IR. D Chris Kaufman (7-IR) and RW Tylor Michel (3-IR) both remain out, though are eligible to be activated.
THE SERIES OVERVIEW:
In Game 1, the line of Dan Riedel-Adam Miller-Kelly Czuy combined to score all three Wranglers goals and each finished +3 on the night. In Game 2, the line of Mark Derlago-Dave Bonk-Chad Painchaud combined to score all three Condors goals and each finished +3 on the night... Neither team has scored a power play goal yet in the series (Bakersfield - 0/7; Las Vegas - 0/6). Bakersfield has not gone more than two games in a row without a power play tally all season and set a team record at 20.5% (5th in the ECHL) during the regular season. The Wranglers were 3rd in the league (83.5%) on the penalty kill this season... There have been three fights already in the series, including two involving Condors RW Liam Huculak. There wasn't one fisticuffs penalty in the Condors six-game playoff series against Victoria last season.
PROMOTIONAL NOTES:
The Pacific Division Semi-Finals are sponsored by KGET-TV 17, Goodwill Industries and Cal Water. Game 3 tonight will feature White Hot White Out Playoff Rally Towel Giveaway for everyone in attendance. Fans are encouraged to wear white, and along with the white rally towels, bring a bit of a chill to the visiting Wranglers.
Also, fans may bring in their old phone books for recycling, as AT&T Yellow Pages will be at the game collecting them in exchange for a $3 coupon for tonight's game. Make sure you don't bring THIS YEAR'S yellow pages accidentally - you will know because Dave Bonk is on the cover this year, along with a great picture of the annual Teddy Bear Toss.
At tonight's game, fans can purchase opportunity drawing tickets for the chance to win the Condors Customized 3-Way Chevrolet Truck, for just $5. The truck, valued at around $28,000, will be given away in a drawing at Saturday's game. Somebody is going to win the truck - it might as well be you!
TICKETS:
Individual playoff tickets are on sale and may be purchased through the Rabobank Arena Box Office, which is open from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturday with extended hours on game days. Tickets may also be purchased by phone at 322-2525, online at Bakersfieldcondors.com, or at any Ticketmaster location. Season tickets, mini-plans and group outings are available at the Condors office located at 1001 Truxtun Avenue or by calling 324-PUCK (7825).
