Bakersfield Blitz Sign Two Returning Players, Darnell Crowder and Donte Williams

BAKERSFIELD - The Bakersfield Blitz have been assigned WR/LB Darnell Crowder and WR/DB Donte Williams by the af2 league office.

Crowder (6'1, 220, New Mexico-Highlands) is in his first year in the arenafootball2 league. Crowder started the 2006 with the Blitz and played in four games before he was placed on re-assignment on May 11. In his four games, Crowder totaled 1 interception for 6 yards, 10 tackles, and 1 tackle for a loss of 2 yards.

Williams (5'8, 180, Clarion) is also a rookie in the arenafootball2 league. Williams was assigned to the Blitz earlier this season; however, he was released before he was able to gather playing time.

DS, Deonte Williams (6'1, 195, Idaho St.) has been placed on re-assignment.

The Blitz will take on the Everett Hawks for the last and final time this season on Saturday, July 29. Kick off is set for 7:00 p.m. at Rabobank Arena.
