(ORANGEVILLE, ON) Windsor has run out of leeway in the Central Conference Finals after falling 119-111 to the Brampton A's in Game 4 on Friday night.
The loss now puts them behind three-games-to-one in this best of seven series.
Unlike the previous two games, this contest went back and forth for the duration, with Brampton clutching onto a 26-25 lead after the first quarter.
Windsor's best quarter was the second, where they turned the tides on the high-flying A's and opened up a 14 point lead with a 21-6 run and about five and a half minutes to halftime.
Theo Davis drained a shot with six seconds left in the frame, to send the game to the break with the Express up 55-50.
The third quarter swayed back and forth, with Brampton regaining the lead for the majority of the quarter, before a 10-2 jolt from the Express took the advantage back, sending them to the final 12 minutes of the game up 83-80.
But as Brampton exploded in the first quarter of Game 3, they saved their attack for the fourth quarter in this contest.
Windsor had built up a nine point benefit in the first three minutes of the fourth, until the A's fashioned a 9-0 to tie the game at 95-95.
The Express delivered the next blow with a jumper from Quinnel Brown and a three pointer from Chris Commons to build up a five point cushion with less than five minutes left.
The teams traded free throws until the 1:07 mark, when Tyshwan Edmondson grabbed an offensive rebound and scored on the put-back, giving Brampton a 109-108 lead.
From there, Akeem Scott nailed a jumper and struck on three of four free throws, to launch the A's advantage to 6 points with 21 seconds left.
Windsor would not get any closer as Brampton cashed in on five of their last six shots from the charity stripe down the stretch to give themselves a 3-1 series bulge.
Quinnel Brown led the Express in scoring, once again, with 22 points and got support from DeAndre Thomas, who had his best game of the post season with 20.
The Express have been in this position before, and been successful.
In last year's NBL Finals, Windsor trailed the Island Storm 3-1 before winning the final three games to capture their first league championship.
The comeback trail leads back to the WFCU Centre for Game 5, which will tip off at 7:00pm on Tuesday, April 7th.
