Peoria Rivermen News Release

St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced today that the team has traded goaltender Jason Bacashihua to the Colorado Avalanche for future considerations.

Bacashihua had appeared in four games for Peoria this season with a 1-3-0 record, 3.17 GAA and .869 save percentage. The 24-year-old netminder was acquired by St. Louis from Dallas on June 25, 2004 in exchange for defenseman Shawn Belle. He was originally Dallas' first round selection, 26th overall in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.

Peoria will now return home to play the Stars in the second half of the home-and-home series on Friday night at Carver Arena. Saturday the Rockford IceHogs make its maiden regular season voyage for an intra-state rivalry game with the top farm team of the Chicago Blackhawks. Both games begin at 7 pm, with tickets on sale through the Peoria Civic Center Box Office, at all TicketMaster locations, charge by phone at (309) 676-8700, and on line at www.TicketMaster.com. See you at the games!
