Columbus Assigns Duvie Westcott to Syracuse

Syracuse, NY (November 8, 2007) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have sent defenseman Duvie Westcott to Syracuse on a conditioning loan.

Westcott, 30, has appeared in five games this year with Columbus, picking up 16 penalty minutes. Over the course of the 2001-02 and 2002-03 seasons, Westcott appeared in 90 games with the Crunch, registering 5 goals, 39 assists and 153 penalty minutes. The native of Winnipeg, Manitoba was signed as a free agent by Columbus on May 7, 2001.
