Painchaud, Fretter Head To Gwinnett

The Atlanta Thrashers have reassigned right wing CHAD PAINCHAUD from the Chicago Wolves to the ECHL's Gwinnett Gladiators. In addition, the Wolves have assigned center COLTON FRETTER to Gwinnett.
The two forwards, both members of the Gladiators last year, have not appeared in any games with the Wolves this season.
FRETTER was named the ECHL's Rookie of the Year in 2006-07 after leading all first-year pros with 36 goals and 68 points in 51 outings with Gwinnett, while PAINCHAUD ranked third among ECHL rookies with 54 points in 72 contests last season.
Chicago (8-0-1-0), which is out to its best start in franchise history, continues a season-long, seven-game road swing this weekend with three games in three days against North Division rivals on the East Coast, beginning with a matchup against the Syracuse Crunch at the Onondaga County War Memorial at Oncenter Friday at 6 p.m.
