Portland Sea Dogs News Release
Portland, Maine - The Binghamton Mets (6-7) plated an early run in the third and added five over the next three frames, in the 6-0 win over the Portland Sea Dogs (4-11) Thursday night at NYSEG Stadium.
Darin Gorski took the mound against the Sea Dogs for the second time in as many starts. The lefty rebounded from his four inning, two-run affair on April 14th at Hadlock to dominate the Portland lineup and toss six one-hit innings. Gorski (2-0) retired the side in order in the first, allowed two baserunners in the second on a hit-by-pitch and single. He finished his outing after the sixth and retired the final 12 of 14 Sea dogs' hitters he faced.
Eric Campbell got the scoring going for the B-Mets, and backed his starter's stellar outing, with an RBI single in the third inning off of Portland's starter Billy Buckner. Buckner (0-2) allowed a homerun to Travis Ozga to lead off the fourth, and a run on a sacrifice fly in the fifth before his outing came to an end. Michael Lee took over in the sixth and the Mets' offense plated three runs off of the reliever. Josh Rodriguez picked up an RBI single and Pedro Zapata plated two on an RBI single to cap off the offense for the B-Mets.
The Sea Dogs offense notched one hit off of each of the two relievers that followed the Binghamton starter. Kolbrin Vitek extended his league-high consecutive on-base streak to 15 games with a double in the eighth, and Juan Carlos Linares extended his streak to 14 straight games with a walk in the fourth.
Prime Motor Group Player of the Game: Juan Carlos Linares 1-2, 2BB

Portland will send right-handed pitcher Chris Balcom-Miller (1-1, 4.26) to the mound. Binghamton will counter with righty Greg Peavey (2-0, 0.00). The Sea Dogs can be heard on the U.S. Cellular Sea Dogs radio network with 95.5/95.9 FM WPEI serving as the flagship station.
The Sea Dogs will return home to Hadlock and host the Reading Phillies on Friday, April 27th at 6:00 PM. Tickets are available for all Sea Dogs' home games. Tickets can be ordered by calling the Sea Dogs Ticket Office at 207-879-9500 or online at www.seadogs.com.
