NYSEG Stadium - Binghamton, NY - 5:35 PM

LAST GAME: The B-Mets tossed their 11th shutout, beating New Britain, 3-0, Sunday afternoon at New Britain Stadium to salvage the final game of the series. LJ Mazzilli had four hits and two RBI in the return to his home state. Tyler Pill did it all for the B-Mets, tossing six shutout frames while also picking up three hits and an RBI. Paul Sewald notched his team-leading 20th save. The B-Mets had their game against Richmond postponed Tuesday due to unplayable field conditions.

BINGHAMTON STARTERS: RHP Robert Gsellman takes the mound for the 13th time this season with the B-Mets in game one. Gsellman faces the Flying Squirrels for the first time in his career. The righty lost his last start against the Curve on August 12. Binghamton's defense made three errors behind him, resulting in three unearned runs. RHP Rainy Lara gets the ball in game two, his 16th start with the B-Mets this season. He's coming off a win against Altoona, allowing two runs in seven innings. Lara is 1-0 with a 1.69 ERA in his two starts against Richmond this season. He tossed a five-inning one-hitter in his last go-round.

RICHMOND STARTERS: LHP Matt Gage is making his sixth start with Richmond and first against Binghamton, getting the ball for game one. He won his first two starts, but more recently is coming off a pair of losses. He allowed five runs in 5.1 innings against Bowie, striking out eight in the defeat. LHP Matt Lujan will go for Richmond in game two, making his 17th start. Lujan took the loss in his first outing against Binghamton, allowing four runs and 10 hits in six innings on May 12th. He has not allowed an earned run in each of his last two starts.

VS. RICHMOND: This is Richmond's lone trip to NYSEG Stadium, coming at their 121st game of the season. It's also the final series between these two teams in the 2015 regular season. Binghamton has won three of the first seven matchups, managing just one run or less in each of their last three losses. Richmond has made one trip to Binghamton every season since coming into existence (2010). The Flying Squirrels have never won the season series with Binghamton.

MAKING THEM COUNT: Vince Belnome has four hits in his last 21 at-bats, but has still driven in a run in three of his last four games. Belnome's had two hits last time out, his first multi-hit game in nine games played.

LEFTY: Binghamton will face a lefty starting pitcher in both games Wednesday. It will end a stretch for the B-Mets of facing six lefty starting pitchers in their last 11 games. Binghamton is batting .256 against both LHP and RHP.

G0000MEZ: Gilbert Gomez has gone hitless in his last 11 games. He has not registered a hit since July 29th, going 0-for-15 in his last 11 games. He is 1-for-20 since July 19th. Gomez is 0-for-10 as a pinch-hitter.

2-FOR-1: Gavin Cecchini has registered multiple hits in 11 of his last 19 games. He is batting .366 since the All-Star break. He went 1-for-2 Sunday, drawing three walks for the second time this season.

K-ROD: Josh Rodriguez is hitless in last 15 at-bats, with seven of them ending in strikeout. Rodriguez has still gotten on base, drawing eight walks and getting hit by a pitch over his last five games. He has not played since Tuesday.

3-K: A B-Met has struck out three times in each of their last four games.

GETTING OVER THE HUMP: Binghamton is 5-11 on Wednesdays, their worst record for any day of the week.

NEXT GAME PREVIEW: The B-Mets conclude their series with Richmond Thursday at 7:05 PM. RHP Gabriel Ynoa starts against RHP Tyler Beede.
