LAST GAME: Logan Verrett threw seven strong innings, and the offense provided 13 hits behind him as the B-Mets defeated Bowie, 7-3. He allowed a single run in the top of the first and two more in the seventh, but Binghamton sandwiched that with six straight runs en route to the victory. Allan Dysktra led the way finishing 3-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, and two walks. Travis Taijeron also hit a three-run home run in the fourth to cushion the lead. Verrett allowed thre runs on five hits to pick up his league-leading eighth win of the season. Scott Atchison and Jeff Walters each threw a scoreless inning of relief to finish the game. They have tallied double-digit hits in five of the last six games, and have won 10 of their last 12 games.

BINGHAMTON STARTING PITCHER: LHP Mark Cohoon pitches in his 12th game of the season for the B-Mets, and his eighth as a starting pitcher. As a starter this season, he is 1-3 with a 4.17 ERA. He was tagged with the loss in his last start, June 5 vs. Trenton, when he allowed eight runs and ten hits in 5.0 innings. At NYSEG Stadium in 2013, he is 1-2 with a 5.09 ERA. Opponents are hitting .331 against the lefty this season, and lefties are batting .396 against him. Cohoon is in his fourth season in Binghamton. In 2012, he went 8-11 on the mound with a 3.62 ERA. He logged 146.2 innings and made 23 starts in the rotation. The Mets selected Cohoon in the 12th round of the 2008 draft out of North Central Texas College.

BOWIE STARTING PITCHER: RHP Devin Jones makes his 12th start of the season for the Baysox. In his last start June 11 at Reading, he allowed four runs on six hits in 5.0 innings. In each of his last three starts he has gotten a no-decision. After losing his first two decisions of the season, he has received the win in his last three. On the road, Jones is 1-2 with a 5.13 ERA in five starts. In May, he went 3-1 with 4.46 ERA. Opponents are hitting .280 against the righty. The Orioles selected Jones in the ninth round of the 2011 draft out of Mississippi State University. He was also picked by the Indians in the 2008 draft but did not sign.

GREAT START TO JUNE: The B-Mets are 10-2 through the first 12 games of June. As a team they are hitting .300 and have scored 71 runs this month (5.9 per game). Cesar Puello leads the league in batting average in June (.515) and has nine extra base hits. Allan Dykstra is hitting .438 with a .581 on-base percentage with four home runs, and Danny Muno ranks second in the league this month with 14 RBI. The pitching staff has also been strong on the mound; they have posted a 2.67 ERA.

HOME-FIELD ADVANTAGE: Binghamton is 19-14 at NYSEG Stadium this season. In their last 15 games at home in 2013, the B-Mets are 11-4. On the road, they are 22-12.

RUBBER MATCH: In rubber matches this season, Binghamton is 5-2. Each of their last three rubber matches ended up being wins for the B-Mets. Binghamton has won each of their last five series. The last series they lost was May 6-8 at Trenton. They are currently in a stretch of 10 consecutive series where the B-Mets have either split on won the series.

DYKSTRA GETS ON BASE: Allan Dykstra finished 3-for-3 with a home run in Saturday's win. He also walked twice, and reached base safely in all five plate appearances. Dykstra leads the league with a .473 on-base percentage, and also leads the league with 47 walks. His .322 batting average is the fifth highest in the league.

THE NEWCOMER PRODUCING: Travis Taijeron continues to produce in his first week at the Double-A level. In six games as a B-Met Taijeron is 8-for-26 (.308) with three home runs and 10 RBI.

NEXT GAME PREVIEW: Binghamton has an off day on Monday, and then hit the road for a three-game series against the Richmond Flying Squirrels. First pitch on Tuesday is scheduled for 6:35 PM and RHP Jacob deGrom is pitching for the B-Mets against LHP Carlos Teller.
