Autographed SAL All-Star Jerseys Up For Bid on eBay

Greensboro, N.C. - Some of baseball's brightest stars were on display at the 2008 South Atlantic League All-Star Game recently played in Greensboro, N.C., and now fans have an opportunity to take home an autographed, game-worn jersey through an online auction at eBay.com.

In all, 64 jerseys have been posted on eBay and can be found by searching for "SAL All-Star". Previous first-round selections such as Michael Burgess (Washington Nationals), Madison Bumgarner (San Francisco Giants) and Jason Heyward (Atlanta Braves) have their autographed 2008 All-Star jerseys up for auction alongside baseball Hall of Famer Tony Perez and former National League MVP and eight-time all-star, Andre Dawson.

The Majestic jerseys were each autographed by its respective player or coach immediately following the game and were provided by the VF Corporation based in downtown Greensboro; VF owns the Majestic Athletics brand.

Proceeds from the auctions will go to the United Way of Greater Greensboro. Bids for each auction will be taken through the evening of June 27.
