Austin Toros to Host Season Tip-Off Party

AUSTIN, TEXAS, Oct. 25, 2010 - The Austin Toros will host their 2010-11 season tip-off party on Thursday, November 4 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cedar Park Center. The event is free and open to the public and Toros fans will have an opportunity to check out the new home of the Toros and purchase reserved seats for the upcoming season.

Spurs President of Sports Franchises/General Manager RC Buford, Spurs Vice President of Basketball Operations Danny Ferry and Toros Head Coach Brad Jones will host a question/answer hour regarding plans for the upcoming season. Fans will also have the opportunity to win prizes from Austin Toros sponsors including a weekend getaway package courtesy of Hyatt Regency, a $75 gift certificate to Fogo De Chao and a 2-night stay at the Renaissance Hotel as well as a chance to win San Antonio Spurs tickets.

"With the start of the season right around the corner, this event will give our fans an exclusive opportunity to see our new arena firsthand and meet the staff that is responsible for selecting and managing the San Antonio Spurs and Austin Toros," said Peter Lubell, Toros Chief Operating Officer. "We invite the entire community to come out and get to know their newest team and learn about Toros season tickets."
