Armor to Host 2010-2011 NBA D-League Draft Party

Springfield, MA, Oct. 25, 2010 - The Springfield Armor will be hosting a draft night party for Armor fans at the MVP.pub in the Sheraton Hotel in Downtown Springfield on November 1, 2010 starting at 6:30 p.m. The event will feature free food, door prizes, a chance to enter the "War Room" as Head Coach Dee Brown and Assistant Coach Kevin Whitted make their picks for the 2010-2011 season, and much more!

The Armor will have the fifth pick in the first round of the 2010 draft. Last season, the Armor's first pick was

JamesOn Curry who was the only player from the Springfield roster to have a Gatorade Call Up. Curry signed a 10 day contract with the L.A. Clippers and played in his first career NBA game in Boston when the Clippers took on the Celtics on January 25th.

The NBA Development League draft utilizes a "serpentine" format, meaning the order will alternate in each of the eight rounds. The draft will be held via teleconference with NBA headquarters in New York and begins at 7 p.m. EST. Team selections can be viewed online at www.nba.com/dleague.
