AUSTIN, TX Feb. 27, 2014- The Austin Toros today announced that they have acquired Ben Strong. Strong will join the team tonight in Springfield and wear jersey No. 23.

Strong (6-11, 220) has spent the past three seasons in the D-League, most recently with Delaware 87ers where he averaged 7.1 points and 4.5 rebounds in 20 games earlier this season. For his career, Strong has appeared in 114 D-League games, averaging 6.8 points and 5.0 rebounds in 21 minutes of play.

Strong played four seasons (2004-08) at Guilford College (Old Dominion Athletic Conference), where he led the Quakers to one ODAC title and two NCAA playoff appearances. During his collegiate career, he averaged 25.8 points, 10.8 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game. In the 2006-07 season, he was named the NCAA Division III Player of the Year.

The roster now stands at nine players, after placing Josh Howard on the inactive roster due to injury.
