Cedar Park, TX - The Austin Spurs defeated the Idaho Stampede 125-102 on Spurs Affiliate Night at the SWBC Court at Cedar Park Center Friday night in front of a crowd of 4,110 fans.

Austin Spurs had a strong start shooting 53.8% from the field in the first quarter. Center JaMychal Green contributed eight points and four rebounds while newcomer Orlando Johnson also added eight points and two rebounds. Forward Kevin Murphy led the Stampede with eight points.

The hot shooting from the Austin Spurs continued into the second quarter, with the team going 6-6 from three-point range. Guard Jonathan Simmons tallied eight points in the quarter.

The Austin Spurs led 68-40 at halftime.

Simmons led the Austin Spurs with seven points in the third quarter. Idaho forward Kevin Murphy added 10 more points in the quarter. The Austin Spurs led at the end of the third quarter 102-76.

Centers Keith Wright and JaMychal Green added six points a piece in the final period. The Austin Spurs outshot the Idaho Stampede in field goals, three-point attempts, and free throws, including a 75% clip from three-point range.

Austin Spurs guard Jonathan Simmons led the team in scoring with 23 points. Center JaMychal Green finished with a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds. Idaho forward Kevin Murphy led the Stampede with 22 points.

The Austin Spurs (3-3) host the Oklahoma City Blue tomorrow, December 6th at 7:30pm on the SWBC court at the Cedar Park Center. The Idaho Stampede (3-4) head to Rio Grande Valley to take on the Vipers Saturday, December 6th at 6:00pm.
