O'FALLON, MO– The RiverHawks shutout River City for the second game in a row winning 8-0. The RiverHawks take the series against the Rascals 2-1.

Rockford right fielder Rich Austin hit a two run homer in the top of the first inning giving the RiverHawks the lead they wouldn't surrender. Austin finished the game 3-4 driving in five of the RiverHawks runs in the game.

Josh Tomsu got his first win for the RiverHawks this season pitching seven innings giving up only three hits and not giving up a run.

Greg Modica took the loss for the River City Rascals giving up four runs in six and two-thirds innings.

The ‘Hawks return home to Marinelli Field on Thursday June 3rd against Mid-Missouri. The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league in its 12th season.
