Brandon Wheat Kings News Release

CALGARY - Hockey Canada and the Canadian Hockey League have announced three roster changes for the National Junior Team development camp, scheduled to begin Friday in Ottawa at the University of Ottawa.

The following players have been added to the camp roster:

Louie Caporusso | Forward | Woodbridge, ON | U. of Michigan (CCHA) | Ottawa '07 (3, 90) Eric O'Dell | Forward | Ottawa, ON | Sudbury (OHL) | Anaheim ‘08 (2, 39) Nick Ross | Defense | Lethbridge, AB | Kamloops (WHL) | Phoenix '07 (1, 30)

Zach Boychuk (Airdrie, AB/Lethbridge, WHL) and Cody Goloubef (Oakville, ON/University of Wisconsin, WCHA) will be unable to take part in on-ice sessions at the National Junior Team development camp, as both are recovering from injuries. Boychuk and Goloubef will still attend the first two days of camp.

Among the players attending the camp in the nation's capital is 19-year old Brandon Wheat Kings' defenceman Keith Aulie. A former fourth round draft choice of the National Hockey League's Calgary Flames, Aulie scored five goals and 17 points in 72 games with the Wheat Kings in 2007-08.

Aulie is currently skating with a number of Flames prospects this week in Calgary.

Following discussions between Hockey Canada and the NHL's Tampa Bay Lightning, Tampa Bay has indicated that Steven Stamkos (Unionville, ON/Sarnia, OHL) will not attend the National Junior Team development camp. The Lightning is holding a prospects camp on the same weekend as the National Junior Team development camp, and the Lightning require him to attend the Tampa Bay camp in Victoria, BC.

The National Junior Team development camp will include four (4) goaltenders, 16 defensemen and 24 forwards, as well as three injured players that will not take part in on-ice sessions. The 44 active players in camp will be separated into two teams - Red and White - and will play three intersquad games, all at the University of Ottawa.
