
Audition Dates Set For New Jr. Sun Dance Team

UNCASVILLE, CT. (March 14, 2006) - The Connecticut Sun will hold open tryouts for the new Jr. Sun Dance Team on Saturday, March 25th and Sunday, March 26th.
The first round of auditions will be held in the gymnasium of Montville High School in Oakdale. Registration begins at noon, and auditions start at 1 p.m. This audition is closed to the public. The second round of tryouts will be open to the public and will be held on the first floor of the Crystal Mall in Waterford in front of Filene's at noon on March 26th. Candidates will be notified the following day if they have made the team.
Tryouts are open to boys and girls, ages 7-15. Dancers must be seven years old by March 25, 2006. The Jr. Sun Dance Team auditions are separate from the Solar Power Dance Team tryouts. More information on the Solar Power tryouts will be released at a later date.
Candidates must commit to all mandated rehearsals and games. Candidates must provide a 5x7 headshot (which won't be returned) and a non-refundable $15 registration fee.
Participants must wear dance sneakers or tennis shoes with non-marking soles, and have performance-ready hair and makeup. Dress in hip-hop, urban, or your own dance style.
