Boyds, Md. - Washington Spirit goalkeeper Aubrey Bledsoe has been voted NWSL Player of the Week for Week 4 of the 2019 season by the NWSL Media Association after her lights-out performance against Reign FC last Saturday night.

Bledsoe, the record-holder for most saves in a single NWSL season, was back to her usual shot-stopping self last weekend as she kept her second clean sheet in three games against visiting Reign FC. Bledsoe has not conceded a goal at the Maryland SoccerPlex this season, and has not conceded a goal at home in 183 minutes of game time.

Bledsoe made nine saves in total, just one shy of her career high of ten, set against Reign FC in the Spirit's season opener last year. Bledsoe, the Spirit's 2018 Most Valuable Player, has made 14 saves through three games this season, good for third best in the NWSL. In addition, Bledsoe has only conceded one goal this season, and has a Goals Allowed Average of 0.33, second best in the league.

Bledsoe also picked up the NWSL Save of the Week with an incredible reaction save following a shot from Shea Groom just outside the six-yard-box. Bledsoe earned the honor after her save was voted the best from matchweek four by a fan vote.
