OWEN SOUND, ON - Owen Sound Attack Head Athletic Therapist/Equipment Manager Andy Brown has been named to Hockey Canada Staff for the upcoming IIHF U18 World Championships in Sweden.
Brown is excited to get started: "It is a huge honour to be asked to represent Canada at the World Under-18 Championships. I'm looking forward to getting started this weekend in Toronto with the rest of the staff and our players. We have a week to prepare in Finland before heading to Sweden for the tournament. Our goal is to win a gold medal and it will be an exciting time representing the Attack at a IIHF World Championship."
No stranger to representing Owen Sound and Hockey Canada on the national stage, Brown has worked with the U18 program in the past, winning gold medals in 2017 and 2018 at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup.
The Attack organization is proud of Brown's accomplishments and wish him and Team Canada success in Sweden.
Team Canada will begin preliminary round action against Finland on April 18th, and all Canada games will be televised on TSN.
