Attack to Wear Vintage Platers Jersey on Select Nights

In celebration of the 25th Anniversary of OHL Hockey in Owen Sound, the Owen Sound Attack will is announcing that during select games of the 2013/2014 season, they will be wearing a replica of the vintage Owen Sound Platers jersey. The 3rd jersey (pictured below) will replicate the one that was worn during the Platers inaugural season in 1989/1990, but have the Attack's 25th Anniversary patch on the shoulder.

This will mark the third time in franchise history that the organization has worn a 3rd jersey. The Platers wore a red alternate for one season while the Attack honored the 1951 Allan Cup Champion Owen Sound Mercury's in 2010/2011, a season where the Attack captured the cities first ever OHL Championship.

The Attack will wear their 25th Anniversary Platers jersey on all Wednesday games, as well as other select nights at home as well as several games on the road. Along with the jerseys, the Attack Shack will also have other vintage Platers merchandise available for this season such as hats, t-shirts and sweatshirts, all completed by Reebok/CCM from their Vintage line of clothing.

"Reebok/CCM has done an incredible job of re-creating this jersey and accompanying it with stylish, vintage pieces to go along with it.", stated Attack Director of Marketing and Public Relations, Brent Fisher. "Throughout the past several years, we've had many fans inquire about Platers merchandise and jerseys. We felt that with this being our 25th Anniversary that it was the best time to do this. We do have a past to be incredibly proud of here and we want to recognize that."

Along with the 3rd jersey, the Attack organization will also be bringing back Platers Alumni on those selected nights to help in the Anniversary celebration.
