Owen Sound Attack News Release

The Owen Sound Attack have enjoyed a strong stretch of games recently winning four of their last five games, including riding a three game win streak. The Bears will look to keep their hot play going as they head into a full weekend schedule, with their second three games in three days of the season on the slate.

After being blown-out in the first two meetings, the Attack got some revenge last Saturday with a home win over the Guelph Storm. Owen Sound will look to continue that momentum when they travel to Guelph Friday night for their fourth meeting with the Storm. Friday night will be a chance for the Attack to fully avenge their early season struggles with Guelph, as the Storm took the last meeting at Sleeman Centre with a convincing 9-4 win.

A return home Saturday night will give the Attack their first look at one of the American based teams, as the Saginaw Spirit visit the Bayshore. The Spirit spent the entire first month of the season solely playing the other American based teams, finding success in those early games going 4-1-1, however since border crossing has opened Saginaw has seen some struggles. The Spirit have went 1-4 against Ontario based teams early. Led offensively by Buffalo Sabres draft pick Josh Bloom, who leads the team in goals and points, as well as having Tristen Lennox in the crease, the Spirit will provide a tough game for the Bears.

Owen Sound concludes the weekend with a trip to Sarina for their second meeting with the Sting. The Attack took the first meeting 4-3 to end the month of October, which also kick started their recent hot streak. The Sting themselves have started to turn their season around, after losing seven straight early in the year, they have also won four of their last five games, including going 4-2 to start the month of November.

The weekend promises plenty of outstanding games, as the Attack look to continue on the winning path. Fans can catch all Attack action on Rogers TV CH. 53, stream it on the OHL Live app or listen on 560 CFOS Bears Radio

For wishing to purchase tickets to Saturday nights game they are becoming limited but can still be purchased either online or by calling or visiting the McVicar and McComb Sutton Reality Box Office. As a reminder for fans, the Owen Sound Santa Clause Parade is being held at 5 PM Saturday night in downtown, so travel to the Bayshore from the west side of town may be delayed, please plan accordingly.

The Weekend Preview is presented by Joe Tomatoes in the Galaxy Plaza on the sunset strip.
