Owen Sound Attack News Release
The Owen Sound Attack are set to return from the Christmas break with a three game schedule on the dock for this week.
Fist up the Attack will welcome former goaltender Mack Guzda and the rest of the Barrie Colts. It marks Guzda's first visits to the Bayshore since the trade with Barrie. Guzda was a big part of past Attack team's as he sits in the top 5 in a variety of team records, including wins and games played by a goalie. The big goaltender has been solid for the Colts since the trade going 6-1 with his only loss coming against the Attack back on Nov. 25, were Owen Sound jumped out to a 4-1 lead early and hung on to claim the 4-3 win.
Owen Sound is then scheduled for a home-and-home with the Kitchener Rangers to ring in the new year. It has been an intense season series between the Mid-West division rivals, with the first three games being hard fought and close. Owen Sound holds the edge 2-1 in the series to this point, but the Rangers took the last meeting in Kitchener, and will look to again use home ice to even things up. The teams then ring in the New Year with a Saturday matinee game at the Bayshore, where the Attack kicked off this series with a big 4-1 win, part of a 5-game winning streak through the month of November.
A reminder to all fans that capacity at the Bayshore has been reduced to 50% and that food and beverage are no longer allowed while attending an Attack game, this includes personal water bottles. More information can be found here.
Fans can catch Attack action on RogersTV Grey County Ch. 53 or stream on OHL Live.
The Weekend Preview is presented by Joe Tomatoes located in the Galaxy Plaza on the sun set strip.
