Attack Kickoff for Cancer

The Owen Sound Attack is thrilled to announce that in partnership with the Canadian Cancer Society, Sunday, September 14th will be the 2008/2009 Attack Kickoff for Cancer. When the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors visit for the final pre season game, fans will not be required to purchase a ticket and are able to attend the game free of charge, however; a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society is encouraged.

Attack Director of Marketing Brent Fisher stated there are several reasons this was being done by the organization. "First of all, any time you can do something for a cause like the Canadian Cancer Society is great. Second of all, we're trying to get the ball rolling a little earlier this season and this really gives the fans and the community a chance to come out and get a free taste of what they might see this year while supporting a great cause."

The festivities will begin with a ceremonial puck drop at 2:00p.m. with the game immediately following. After the game all season ticket holders are invited to attend the first annual meet and greet BBQ that will take place on the west side of the Bayshore. Hot Dogs, Hamburgers and Drinks will be served up by the members of your 2008/2009 Owen Sound Attack.
