Owen Sound Attack News Release

The Owen Sound Attack will look to close out 2012 on a winning note Friday when the Erie Otters come to town. The Owen Sound Attack won their last game prior to the Christmas break, defeating the Brampton Battalion on December 15th, but almost two weeks later, it seems like a lifetime since the Attack have hit the ice.

The Attack lineup will be without goaltender Jordan Binnington (World Juniors), Jaden Lindo (U17) and Jacob Middleton (U17), while the Otters will be without 15 year old phenom, Connor McDavid who is also at the U17 tournament.

There are no callups expected for the Attack, with the exception of goaltender Aaron Taylor, who joined the team prior to the break.

Familiar Face: There is a somewhat familiar face behind the bench for the Otters as Kris Knoblauch took over from Robbie Ftorek as bench boss of the Otters. Fans should remember Knoblauch as the Head Coach of the Kootenay Ice, the team that eliminated the Attack in the tiebreaker game of the 2011 MasterCard Memorial Cup.

Look Out For: Connor Crisp has all of the tools to be a force in the OHL and after missing most of the 2011/2012 season (with the exception of an appearance in goal), he looks to be getting things on track. The Alliston native has 13 goals and 9 assists to go along with 75 penalty minutes.

Last 10 Games : Attack 6-4 (2nd in MidWest) Otters 4-5-1-0 (5th in MidWest)

Tickets for Friday's game are available online at www.attackhockey.com, by calling 519 371-7452 or by visiting the Attack Box Office in the front lobby of the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre.
