
Attack Add Four Players to Roster on Final Day of Training Camp

The Owen Sound Attack is proud to announce the addition of four more players to its 2021-22 roster. New player signings include forwards Lorenzo Bonaiuto and Julian Fantino, defenceman Cedricson Okitundu and goaltender Corbin Votary. Bonaiuto is a native of Richmond Hill, who the Attack took with the 58th overall pick in third round of the 2020 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection. During his U16 year with the Toronto Marlboros of the Greater Toronto Hockey League Lorenzo had 15 goals, 14 assists in 32 regular season games, while adding another goal and three assists in seven playoff games.
"It's a dream come true to sign with an OHL team, especially with the Owen Sound Attack. I have heard the Bayshore has the best fans in the league, so I am really looking forward to playing in front of them" said Bonaiuto. "I want to thank my parents, trainers, everyone that has helped me along the way coaches and trainers, they have all helped me get to where I am today."
Fantino was the Attacks 150th overall pick in the 8th round of the 2020 OHL Priority Selection having played his under-16 year for the Richmond Hill Coyotes. The native of Woodbridge, Ontario had 25 goals and 24 assists in 33 regular season games while adding another five goals and nine assists in 11 playoff games.
"I am really honoured and humbled and I can't wait to get started playing in front of the fans at the Bayshore" said Fantino. "I am looking forward to getting to know my new teammates and I want to thank my parents, teachers, coaches, Dale and Wally for giving me this great opportunity."
The Attack selected Cedricson Okitundu in the fourth round 76th overall in the 2020 OHL Priority Selection. Okitundu played his under-16 year for his hometown Waterloo Wolves where he was a standout on their back end tallying six goals and 12 assists in 30 regular season games as well as another two goals and 3 assists in 14 playoff games.
"It's an unbelievable feeling and I can't wait to get started. I am just really excited to play my first games and get going in the OHL" said Okitundu. "I have to thank my parents and siblings for sacrificing everything; all the hours, the drives, the hotels, and the tournaments. Also, my agent for everything he's done for me and everyone else who has helped me along the way."
Votary joins the Attack after being selected 80th overall in the fourth round of the 2020 OHL Priority Selection. The native of Napanee, Ontario played his under-16 year with the Quinte Red Devils program where he recorded an 1.28 goals against average in 18 regular season games as well as a 1.64 goals against average in six playoff games, only allowing 40 goals against the entire year.
"I am super excited to meet all the guys and feel the amazing support at the Bayshore" said Votary. "I want to thank my family, coaches, teammates and everyone who has help me out along the way."
Bonaiuto, Fantino, Okitundu and Votary will join their teammates this weekend when the OHL pre-season kicks off when they visit Sadlon Arena in Barrie on Monday, September 6 starting at 6 p.m. Unfortunately, the game will not be on the radio or television, but you can follow the game on the live stats feed on the OHL website.
