AT&T, Revolution Team up for "It Can Wait" Campaign
September 13, 2012 - Atlantic League (AtL)
York Revolution News Release
(York, Pa): High School Spirit Night, presented by OSS Health, will be Saturday, September 15 at Sovereign Bank Stadium when the York Revolution hosts the Somerset Patriots in a key divisional matchup. With that theme night, the Revolution has joined forces with AT&T in an attempt to make things safer for those new to the road.
As part of AT&T's "It Can Wait" campaign which urges everyone to make the lifelong commitment to never text and drive, the company will make a $500 donation to the high school which brings in the most signed pledges to not text while driving during this Saturday's game. Students may pick the pledges up at AT&T's table at the ballpark, to promise they will not text while driving.
The cheerleading squads of Central York, Dallastown, Delone Catholic, Dover, Eastern York, Hanover, Kennard-Dale, Red Lion and Spring Grove will all be in attendance for the game to compete for the donation. The squads will also perform on the field during the game between innings. Students from any of the participating high schools may rally support to have their student body turn in the most "It Can Wait" pledges.
Saturday's game against Somerset is at 6:30 p.m., and the gates at Sovereign Bank Stadium will open at 5:30 p.m. for the general public.
