
AT&T and Cardinals launch "It's Not Complicated to Win" contest

Springfield, MO - The Springfield Cardinals, Double-A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals, have announced the details for the "It's Not Complicated to Win with AT&T and the Springfield Cardinals" promotion, offering kids the chance to win AT&T's VIP Back to School Experience.
In line with AT&T's popular commercial series, kids can submit answers to the question - is it better for a baseball player to be faster or slower?
The student that submits the winning essay that explains why it is better for a baseball player to be faster or slower will receive the AT&T VIP Back to School Experience, which includes -
-A Springfield Cardinals player going back to school with the winner for Show-and-Tell during the week of Monday, August 19 - Friday, August 23.
-Suite access for the winner and his/her family (six tickets) during the Friday, August 23 game.
-A behind-the-scenes tour of Hammons Field with a Ceremonial First Pitch before the Friday, August 23 game.
-A Springfield Cardinals Backpack with goodies.
(In order to qualify for the player trip to school portion of the VIP package, the winner's school must be within 25 miles of Hammons Field. Schools outside of that distance may choose to take a field trip to the ballpark instead.)
The contest is open to kids, ages 6-12. The submitted answers must be 200 words or less, and must be turned in by 12pm on Tuesday, August 13. Submissions must include the child's name, age and address of their school, as well as their guardian's name and phone number.
Entries can be dropped off at Hammons Field, emailed to Springfield@cardinals.com or faxed to (417) 863-0388. By entering, you grant AT&T and the Springfield Cardinals the ability to use the winning essay for promotional purposes.

Baseball Card Sets, two Bobblehead Giveaways, Championship Dry Fit T-Shirts, Fireworks and more this homestand The Cardinals kick off a six-game homestand tonight, taking on the Frisco RoughRiders at 7:09pm. Tonight's game features the Sysco Foods Team Baseball Card Set Giveaway for 4,000 fans, and will also be a Great Southern Bank $1 Dog Day. Gates open at 6:09pm.
