MATTHEWS, N.C. -Atlanta United 2 fell to Crown Legacy FC 3-1 Sunday night at Mecklenburg County Sportsplex. Luke Brennan scored his second goal of the season while Nick Firmino added his fourth assist.

Crown Legacy opened the scoring in the 42nd minute when Jacob Williams whipped in a cross from the right sideline towards Patrick Agyemang at the near post. The six-foot-four striker rose above the Atlanta defense and placed his header into the top right corner past the outstretched arms of Justin Garces.

Agyemang netted his second goal just a few moments later in the 44th minute after Brandon Cambridge received a ball on the right wing and found Agyemang near the top of the box. Agyemang took one touch before firing a left footed strike into the bottom left corner to give Crown Legacy the two-goal lead at the half.

In the 68th minute, Brennan scored his second goal of the year after Firmino rifled a pass from deep inside the half towards the Homegrown making a run into the box. The Atlanta United Academy product raced to beat the keeper coming off his line and snuck in the goal with his left boot.

In the 84th minute, João Guilherme gave Crown Legacy the 3-1 lead off a set piece sent into the box for a header. Garces made the initial save, but Guilherme was there for the rebound and easy put away. After the goal, Atlanta quickly began play down the right sideline with Erik Centeno. The halftime substitute fired a cross to Firmino in front of goal, but his header attempt sailed just left of the post.
