HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - Atlanta United 2 scored its latest goal of the season deep in stoppage time to earn a 2-1 victory over Huntsville City FC Sunday night at Joe Davis Stadium. Machop Chol scored his first goal of the season for ATL UTD 2 while Jackson Conway kept the team's playoff chances alive with his sixth goal of the year.

The match got off to a slow start with one shot on target for both sides in the opening 20 minutes. In the seventh minute, Clement Diop came up with his first save of the night after Kemy Amiche dribbled into the left edge of the box and fired a shot towards the near post that Diop easily gathered. Chol got Atlanta's first look at goal in the 11th minute when the first team winger blasted a low shot from outside the box into the arms of John Berner.

In the 46th minute, Joey Skinner helped give Huntsville the lead heading into half when the defender received a ball from Joey DeZart and split a pair of Atlanta defenders inside the left edge of the box. Dezart's shot squeezed into the back of the net past Diop.

Chol quickly got Atlanta back in the game in the 49th minute. The play began with Chol playing Luke Brennan just outside the right edge of the box for a give and go that left the Homegrown alone with two defenders. Chol took one touch to get around the first defender and sent a low shot into the bottom left corner of the net for the equalizer.

Following the goal, Huntsville nearly took back the lead with a couple of chances. In the 51st minute when Oliver Wright cut back a pass from the left wing to Azaad Liadi for a one-timed shot that bounced off the left post before eventually being cleared from danger. In the 77th minute, Shaun Joash almost scored a header off a corner kick from Huntsville. Joash rose above defenders at the back post and headed a shot that was blocked at the goal line by Toni Tiente.

In the 96th minute, Atlanta found the game winner through Conway. Karim Tmimi received the ball on left wing and quickly curled in a looping cross to Conway making a run into the center of the box. The Homegrown striker perfectly placed his header into the right corner of the net to earn the team's first road win of the season and keep its playoff chances alive.
