New York Red Bulls II (14-7-6, 51 pts.) earn a point in a draw against Crown Legacy FC (17-4-5, 60 pts.) 1-1, as the opposition win in the shootout 4-2 to earn the second point.
New York opened the match's scoring in the 59th minute, when midfielder O'Vonte Mullings dribbled along the top of the eighteen and threaded a ball to midfielder Wiki Carmona, who finished the ball into the side netting.
Crown Legacy FC grabbed their equalizer late, as João Guilherme headed home a corner in the 88th minute.
Carmona's goal was his eighth of the season in just his tenth appearance in MLS NEXT Pro.
The Venezuelan is now tied with forward Frank Ssebufu for the second most goals in the club this season.
The assist from Mullings on the Carmona goal was fourth of the season and the ninth of his career with New York.
Mullings now has the fifth most assists in club history, passing Derrick Etienne Jr. and Stefano Bonomo who each had eight.
Arian Recinos and Julian Hall both converted their kicks from the mark in the shootout.
