ATLANTA, June 3, 2011 - The Atlanta Dream will unveil the team's 2010 Eastern Conference championship banner prior to the team's opening game presented by Aaron's on June 5 at Philips Arena. Tip-off is scheduled for 3 p.m. ET against the New York Liberty in a rematch of last year's Eastern Conference Finals.

"We are looking forward to unveiling our first conference championship banner at Philips Arena," said Dream President & COO Toby Wyman. "This is a memorable moment in our young franchise's history and one that we are excited to share with our fans and the entire community. I can't think of a better way to tip off the 2011 season."

Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed will participate in the banner unveiling, which will occur prior to tipoff. The first 3,000 fans will receive a rally banner, courtesy of Aaron's.

Aaron's and the Dream recently announced a three-year renewal of their partnership. In addition to presenting the home opener, Aaron's is also the presenting sponsor of Latino Night on July 16 and Hero Night on August 30. In partnership with Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, Aaron's will also present the "Armed with a Dream" program for a second straight year. The program honors patients undergoing treatment or rehabilitation at Children's by having Dream players display the patient's name on their arms.

"We are looking forward to celebrating the Atlanta Dream's on court success at the home opener, but we are just as proud of the team's impact off the court" said Aaron's Vice President of Marketing, Mark Rudnick. "We share a commitment to the community and together we have the ability to make a difference in the lives of metro Atlanta youth."

The Atlanta Dream is the defending Women's National Basketball Association's (WNBA) Eastern Conference Champion. The team tips off the 2011 season at home on June 5 against the New York Liberty at Philips Arena. The Dream enters its fourth season this summer as part of the WNBA, the world's longest-running women's professional sports league.
