ATLANTA, July 24, 2014 - The WNBA Atlanta Dream, partnered with Grady, announced that the team's Breast Health Awareness initiatives surrounding the "Dream Pink" game start today with the launch of the team's on-line auction. The auction gives supporters the opportunity to bid on various autographed items, Dream experiences and more.

"The Atlanta Dream organization is honored to partner with Grady to help raise funds in support of the center's efforts to help eradicate cancer as a part of our Dream Pink platform," said Dream President and General Manager Angela Taylor. "We all have someone in our lives who has been affected by breast cancer, so the Dream organization is committed to doing everything we can to raise awareness, contribute to research, provide support and encourage early detection. We fully support the mission and efforts of The Avon Breast Health Center at Grady and hope that Atlanta Dream and WNBA fans around the world will help us make a difference through this important campaign."

The on-line auction, which includes sports memorabilia and prizes from local merchants, can be viewed by visiting http://dreampink14.auction-bid.org . Among the prizes up for auction are items from various players and teams across the WNBA, NBA, MLB, MLS and colleges. In addition, several items from Atlanta-area hotels, restaurants and entertainment venues are up for bid. New items will be added daily, so fans are encouraged to check the website each day.

Fans can register to bid on the items in the on-line auction one of three ways: by text, by smartphone and by concierge with iPad at the "Dream Pink" game, which is scheduled for 3 p.m. ET on Sunday, Aug. 3, against the New York Liberty. Further details on how to bid on items can be found on the auction website. The on-line auction will continue until 5 p.m. ET on Friday, Aug. 15.

Following the "Dream Pink" game, the Dream will also host a live auction, which will include appearances by Dream players and will feature the players' authentic game-worn pink jerseys, unique fan experiences with Dream players and more. Proceeds from both auctions will go to Grady's Avon Foundation Breast Health Center.

Fans will also be able to contribute to this fundraiser by donating a dollar to the cause through the team's #DreamDollar social media campaign. Beginning today, fans can donate a minimum of one dollar by text message or through the auction website. The #DreamDollar campaign also runs through 5 p.m. ET on Aug. 15.

At the "Dream Pink" game, the first 2,000 fans through the Philips Arena doors will receive a "Dream Pink" t-shirt courtesy of Grady, and all fans are encouraged to wear pink as part of a "pink out". The "Dream Pink" game will also feature breast cancer survivors who will be honored throughout the game, and will participate as "Anthem Buddies" on the court for the national anthem prior to the game.
