Asheville Tourists News Release
Tyler Matzek went seven innings, while giving up only four hits and one run as Asheville took a 2-1 victory over Hickory Friday night at McCormick Field.
Matzek walked one and struck out 9 in picking up the victory. Bruce kern pitched a perfect ninth to earn his fourth save.
The same two teams will meet on Saturday at 6:05 p.m. at McCormick Field. The first 1,000 fans 16 years old and younger receive a baseball bat, compliments of our friends at Star 104.3 FM.
