A's Strike First against Lightning for 7th Straight Win

BRAMPTON, On. - The Brampton A's defeated the London Lightning in Game one of the first round, 105-85. Home court advantage worked in favour of the A's who notched their seventh straight win.

The A's and Lightning were equally matched offensively for the majority of the first half. Brampton gained momentum as the stint narrowed down; allowing for a seven point edge heading to the locker room.

Brampton forced 14 London turnovers, in which they converted to 16 points. Akeem Scott led the A's with 13 points, while Brent Jennings registered nine for London at the half.

The home team dominated the second half, leading by as many as 26 points. Brampton hustled and forced turnovers to aid them in their victory. The A's held the Lightning to 35 percent shooting from the field for the game after strong defensive sets.

Scott and TyShwan Edmondson led all scorers with 23 points apiece. Akeem Ellis followed with 16 points. Marvin Phillips headed London with 18 points.
