Windsor Express News Release

(BRAMPTON, ON) The Brampton A's saved their best quarter for last, as they tripped up the Windsor Express, 109-104 at the Powerade Centre on Friday night.

The A's (5-7) outscored Windsor (9-3) 31-16 in the fourth, ripping a victory away from the first place Express.

Windsor opened the game strong, grabbing a 32-24 lead after the first quarter and holding that advantage into halftime, with a 55-47 score at the break.

Windsor's Quinnel Brown had 19 points in the first half and eventually led all scorers with 32 points for the night.

The Express had two others in double figures, Tony Bennett finished with 23 and Chris Commons dropped 22.

The final quarter opened with an 88-78 bulge for Windsor, but the Express couldn't hold that lead, seeing a seven point lead disappear in the final six minutes.

Brampton's Akeem Scott nailed a three pointer with 2:27 to go, giving the A's a 105-103 lead, which they would never relinquish.

The win shortens Windsor's lead in the Central Conference to one game over the London Lightning, as the team heads into it's brief Christmas break.

Windsor is back in action on Saturday, December 27th, against Mississauga at 7:00pm at the WFCU Centre.
