The Quebec Capitales announced today that Keith Dunn, scheduled to be the team's opening-day starter on Thursday, has been signed by the Oakland Athletics organization and will now report to Class-A Stockton of the California League, where 2004 Quebec manager Darren Bush is a coach.

Dunn, 26, had spent the previous three years with Quebec, going 32-11 with 241 strikeouts over that span and helping to lead the Capitales to three playoff appearances. Last season, Dunn went 10-2 with a 3.06 ERA and was second in the Northeast League in innings pitched with 120.2. The Tunica, Mississippi, native was drafted in the 30th round by the New York Yankees in 1997, and got as high as single-A Tampa during four seasons with New York. He then spent the 2001 season with the Greenville Bluesmen of the Texas-Louisiana League, where he went 11-8 with a 2.66 ERA.
