Arms Dressler and Serio Back for 2016 Season
March 14, 2016 - Northwoods League (Northwoods)
Kenosha Kingfish News Release
Kenosha, Wis. - The Kingfish are pleased to announce the return of two more pitchers. Josh Serio (UW-Parkside) and Adam Dressler (Purdue) will be back in Kingfish uniforms for the summer of 2016.
Serio was a league star last year for the Kingfish. In 7 starts and 40.1 IP, he put together a 6-1 record and 0.89 ERA. The Kingfish ace was averaging 10.3 K/9 last season before suffering a season ending injury early in July.
Serio is ready to make his return for the 2016 season at UW-Parkside before heading back down the road to play at Simmons Field this summer.
Adam Dressler was a late addition to the Kingfish roster but that did not take away from his value. Dressler joined the club in late July and made 5 regular season appearances without allowing a run. He appeared once in the playoffs and threw two scoreless innings against La Crosse.
The Boilermaker was named Academic-All Big Ten last year and will see some time on the mound in West Lafayette this season.
With the return of Dressler and Serio to Kenosha, combined with the already announced returns of Brendon Allen and Ryan Orr, the Kingfish will be in good position to continue their strong pitching ways.
The Kingfish will open up play this summer at home against the La Crosse Loggers on May 31 at 7:05 CST.
