
Huskies Team up with Alpha Delta to Help Fight Hunger

Duluth Huskies News Release
The Duluth Huskies are teaming up with Alpha Delta from UMD to help CHUM Foods in the annual March MN FoodShare Campaign. We are currently accepting food donations at Wade Stadium during work hours any weekday (drop off inside) or at UMD in the Kirby Plaza right next to the UMD Bookstore. If you're on campus look for an Alpha Delta table and you will be able to drop off any cash donations at the table as well.
Some food that the Food Shelf needs are;
- Peaches, Fruit cocktail, Pineapple, Mandarin Oranges
- Chicken Noodle & Cream of Mushroom Soup
- Peanut Butter
- Canned Corn, Green Beans, Peas
- Tuna & Spam
- Spaghettios, chili, stew
- Macaroni and Cheese
- Chunky Soups
- Pasta sides & rice-a-roni
- Pork and beans
Some foods that they don't need due to high inventory;
- Tomato soup
- Black beans
- Pumpkin
- Cranberries
We will be accepting the food donations at Wade Stadium at any weekday from 10am-4pm in the month on March and at UMD March 14th-18th, 21st-25th, and 28th-31st from 9am to 2pm.
If you'd like to make a cash donation we will be accepting them at UMD from the days and times listed above and at Wade Stadium from 10am-4pm in our offices. Your $10 can stretch further for food shelfs because of their access to discount products and programs.
