Reno Silver Sox News Release
After winning the first game of their final series of the year in Long Beach, The Reno Silver Sox fell 10-4 Saturday at Blair Field.
After his nine strikeout performance against the Armada in Reno last week, Chris Saenz took the mound in Long Beach Saturday but did not have the same success. The right hander tossed five innings allowing seven runs on eight hits and was saddled with the loss in the game.
Long Beach scored first and then had three two run innings and a three run eighth inning and went on to victory. The biggest hit came when SS Gabe Mayorga hit a two run home run off Saenz over the left field fence. The Armada continues to lead the Golden Baseball league over second place Yuma.
2B Mike Done had three hits in the game, two of which were doubles.
CF Victor Hall had an RBI triple in the eighth inning.
C Josh Mcloud also had two hits and scored a run in the loss.
The finale of this series will be Sunday at 2 PM. Follow all the action on the radio on ESPN Radio 630.
