Arizona United SC to Finish Season Series with Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (August 21, 2015) - Arizona United SC (8-13-1) continues its four-game homestand this Saturday, August 22, against Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 (8-11-5) at Scottsdale Stadium. Kick off is set for 7:30 p.m., and gates will open at 6:30 p.m. Parking around the stadium is free.
United looks to bounce back from a 3-0 loss to Orange County Blues FC on August 15. Despite controlling the second half of that match, putting away chances was a major reason Arizona failed to earn three points.
"The last few games I think we have been playing better as a team, everything has been connecting, it's just the final product," said midfielder Jose "Chiva" Cuevas. "We just need that final product, and we've been working on that a lot in training."
Trying to make the playoff push, Whitecaps 2 sit at 9th in the Western conference with 29 points. They head to Scottsdale holding a 1-0 series lead this season over United. They won the first meeting of the season, 2-0, on May 30. They are led by forward Caleb Clarke who has seven goals and four assists, and midfielder Marco Bustos with six goals and two assists.
Arizona is right behind Vancouver in the Western conference standings at 10th place, with 25 points. Forward, and franchise scoring leader, Long Tan leads the team this season with 11 goals and two assists. Forwards Jonathan Top and Dennis Chin follow Tan with three goals and two assists each.
