Arizona Summer League Gets Underway

The Arizona Summer League has been underway for only 48-hours and already teams are taking the top talents. OF Sam Judah didn t even make it through the second day's practice before he was signing a contract and taking a flight to join the Lake County Fielders in Illinois.

The Arizona Summer League is comprised of players showcasing their talents in hopes of being picked up by an Independent or Affiliated ball club. There is a great amount of coaching talent in Yuma for this year's 2011 season. Brady Bogart, Kip Gross, Mike Busch, Rusty Meacham, and Nick Belmonte will be heading the task of preparing these young players for the future of professional baseball.

There are almost 60-players comprising four teams which will be playing from July 13 through the 31st. Many of which are trying to either make it back to the life of professional baseball or have just graduated from college and are making their first strides to making a professional baseball life.

Those wishing to see some day games can catch the Arizona Summer League playing games everyday except Mondays.
