Arizona Rattlers to Kick Off Camp

PHOENIX - In preparation for the team's 16th season in the Arena Football League and quest for a third ArenaBowl title, the Arizona Rattlers will open their 2007 training camp on Thursday, Feb. 8. at 8:30 a.m. at the Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Training camp features 37 players from top colleges, professional leagues and last season's Rattlers squad vying for approximately 24 spots to represent the black, copper and teal.

"I'm excited and optimistic," Head Coach Gene Nudo said. "I think we've got some areas that are going to surprise some people. I think it's going to be a very athletic team for us."

All practice sessions are open to media and the public. Players and coaches will be made available for interviews at the conclusion of each practice session. All practices - with exception of Rattlers Media Day on Feb. 15 at the U.S. Airways Center and the team's scrimmage in Kansas City on Feb. 19-20 - will be held at the Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Camp concludes on Saturday, Feb. 24 when the team must submit its final roster to the AFL office.

2007 Training Camp Schedule:

Feb. 8, 9: 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Feb. 10: 8:30 a.m.

Feb. 12, 13: 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Feb. 14: TBD

Feb. 15: Media Day, 10:30 a.m. (to be held at the U.S. Airways Center)

Feb. 16: TBD

Feb. 17: 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. (practice to be held outside)

Feb. 21: TBD

Feb. 22, 23: 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Feb. 24: 8:30 a.m.

The Rattlers will kick off their 16th season on March 3 when they take on the Georgia Force at the U.S. Airways Center. Season tickets, group tickets and premium single game tickets can be purchased by calling 602-379-2333.
